Article 13 – You have the right to find out things and share what you think with others, by talking, drawing, writing or in any other way unless it harms or offends other people.
We listen carefully to the views of children in our school. One of the ways we have done this is through the newspaper club. They decided on what was important in school and wrote their articles so that pupils could read more about it. They wrote the articles themselves and proof read the finished edition before it was sent home with each pupil. We very much hope you enjoy reading examples of the Bournmoor Star as much as the children enjoyed writing it.

Collecting pupil voice is done through a wide variety of ways in our school including: school council, children’s own assemblies, PSHE lessons, pupil questionnaires, ideas boxes and by simply listening to each other. We know our pupils come up with fantastic ideas so they are encouraged to share them. For example, children wear non-uniform on their birthday as part of their celebrations.
